Long assignment probably at least q hr of work maybe as much as 1.5 hours.

Foundation for much of what we are doing in the new chapter.

Due date:

2-25-11 possibility of it moving to monday depending upon pacing of notes but this is worst case scenario, Don't daddle and do what you can even if it is a little bit at a time.

Quiz will follow, the next day afte we go over the hwk on sequences, arclength, polar area, logistic growth. Guidleline sheet will be given out on thursday.

Polar hwk about 45 minutes

You will be getting a set of notes on arclength to read and understand (tomorrow or Weds) with suggested problems to practice that will have answers with them. This will not be a hwk assignment. You are expected to read and if having trouble see me. Once we get sequences done sometime early enxt week. We will have a quiz on Polar area, arclength, logistic growth, and sequences.



We will be starting sequences and series this week.

Reminder Quiz on Tuesday

There will be one of each of the following problems:

A) Area between curves
B) Rotational volume about y or x axis (disc)
C) Rotational volume about y or x axis (washer)
D) Rotational volume about a random horizontal or vertical line
E) Exponential Growth or Decay problem
F) Particular solution to a differential equation
G) Volume of a known cross section perpendicular to either x-axis or y-axis (square,semi-circle, or triangle)
